Artist Statement:
When working as a freelance cartoonist, his work appeared in most of the National and local newspapers. In 1998, he took early retirement from his work as a draughtsman, and rekindled his love of painting. He rapidly established himself as a full-time artist whose work was in great demand.
He works in mainly in oils and acrylics, painting a diverse range of subjects from local scenes to impressionistic styles. David exhibits twice annually. .His work is found in private collections in Ireland, Australia, France, U.S.A, England, and Wales.
He only paint subjects for which he has an affinity. He has lived beside the sea all of his life, so naturally, is
drawn ( pardon the pun!) to it. It is ever changing, in its mood and colours.
Quote 'I feel privileged by the knowledge that so many people have purchased my works to hang in their homes or offices.
I hope they continue to enjoy my works, and thank them sincerely for their support'
