Artist Statement:
My work begins with curiosity the desire to look closer, collect fragments, and discover the stories hidden inside materials and everyday life.
Growing up around my father’s craftsmanship, I learned to appreciate the relationship between hands, materials, and imagination. Leather, fabric, and leftover pieces from his workshop were never simply discarded objects. To me, they carried texture, history, and possibility.
I have always been interested in transformation how something overlooked can become something meaningful.
Los Angeles has deeply shaped the way I see art. It is a city of contrasts: museums and street art, historic architecture and new ideas, the energy of Downtown LA and the calm of the Pacific Ocean. I find inspiration in both the cultural spaces of the city and the natural landscapes that surround it.
I visit museums, galleries, and art fairs to learn from artists across generations and to understand how ideas are expressed through color, form, and material. I walk through the Arts District to experience the creativity happening in the streets. I spend time near the ocean and in nature to reconnect with light, space, and movement.
My early connection to football also influences my creative process. I am drawn to rhythm, balance, movement, and the way separate elements can come together to create something greater.
Through textiles, photography, acrylics, oils, and found materials, I create layered works that explore identity, memory, and emotion. I am interested in the moment when something forgotten becomes something valuable when a material, image, or texture creates a personal connection with the viewer.
For me, art is a continuous journey of observing, collecting, and transforming the world around me.

Artistic Influences:
One of my biggest influences is travel experiencing different cultures, exploring new cities, and visiting museums and galleries around the world. I find inspiration in the stories, architecture, history, and energy that each place carries. I also believe one of the best ways to understand a culture is through its food, local neighborhoods, and everyday life.
Artists who have influenced my work include Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat, RETNA, Arshile Gorky, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and many others whose approaches to color, movement, texture, and expression continue to shape my artistic perspective.
