Michelle Howard

Michelle has always been moved by the visual world around her.  She creates art to uplift, comfort and bring joy to herself and others.

Oil paint remains Michelle’s true love.  She is fascinated by its versatility.  Her process often involves palette knife work, washes, layers, and glazing.  She enjoys the interplay of layers and how they enhance the energy in the colors, richness of tone, and visual depth.  Subtlety in painting is important to Michelle. Her understated and happy personality emerges in her work.  While she is intuitive, spontaneous, and optimistic, she also has depth and balance, qualities reflected in her work.
