Your Art Collection, Part 1 – Take Inventory

Hello Yellow by Francisco Santos Painting, Acrylic on Canvas 16.1 inch x 13.0 inch $1,340

2019 is a good a year to get a hold of your art collection! No better time than the present, right? Need to know what to keep, what to let go of and how to move forward? Then this post is for you. First, grab a notebook and a pen – you’ll need this to walk around your home and take inventory of what’s on your walls and beyond. List everything you have (hung or waiting to be hung) and note the medium. Is it an original work of art – including photography, drawing, collage, pastel, pen & ink, watercolor, or a hand made print of some kind? Or is it a reproduction or poster? Is it signed by the artist? Supplement your list with photos too if that helps. Once you have your master list, you’ll be ready for the next step!
